2nd Annual Halloweeen Pit-Fire with David Cuzick
October 28 - 39, 2000

Slide Lecture: Friday October 29, 7pm, open to the public

San Diego potter/sculptor David Cuzick fired several very large sculptures, inspired by ancient Southwestern Native American pottery.

We expanded our pit to 20' long x 5' wide x 4' deep. We started loading the pit around Saturday the 28th at 12 noon and we had lots of stuff to wrap pots in for fire marks and color ( slips, oxides, copper wire and mesh, copper sprays , and more). The party started with the lighting of the pit just before dusk.

There were refreshments and munchies. It was a Potluck, so everyone brought food or beverages to share. We had the fire ring burning and lots of fun! Opening of the pit was around 10 a.m. on Sunday the 29th.
