Pit Fire Party

This event is FREE!

Join us for the first Pit-Fire Party of the new year on Saturday, January 26th, 2002, at the Nottingham Center for the Arts in San Marcos, CA. You are invited to bring bisque-fired ceramic works to be included in the pit-firing.

Those who are interested in decorating pieces and/or putting pieces in the Pit should plan to arrive at the Center between noon and 2pm, and should bring along a pair of latex gloves (for decorating) and a pair of work gloves (for loading the Pit).

Materials for decorating your pieces will be provided, though you are welcome to bring your own. Please see instructions for pit-fire decorations on Andy Clift's website: www.claystation.com .

Loading of the Pit will commence at around 3pm. The Lighting Ceremony will take place at dusk (around 5pm-ish), to be followed by a Guest Artist Slide-Show and, finally, the Party!

If you are planning to come please let us know how many will be attending by contacting us at lmuldrew@nottinghamarts.org.

Some food and refreshments will be available but please bring a favorite party dish and libations if you wish.
