Join
us for the first Pit-Fire Party of the new year on Saturday,
January 26th, 2002, at the
Nottingham Center for the Arts
in San Marcos, CA. You
are invited to bring bisque-fired ceramic works to be included
in the pit-firing.
Those
who are interested in decorating pieces and/or putting
pieces in the Pit should plan to arrive at the Center between
noon and 2pm, and should bring along a pair of latex gloves
(for decorating) and a pair of work gloves (for loading
the Pit).
Materials
for decorating your pieces will be provided, though you
are welcome to bring your own.

Loading
of the Pit will commence at around 3pm. The
Lighting Ceremony will take place at dusk
(around 5pm-ish),
to be
followed by a Guest Artist Slide-Show and, finally, the
Party!

Some
food and refreshments will be available but please bring
a favorite party dish and libations if you wish.
